Spawning organizations of the Franconia Energy Team are "Clean Air - Cool Planet", the Carbon Coalition , and the Franconia Select Board. The FET was born following passage of the resolution that was passed at the 2007 Franconia Town Meeting expressing Franconians' belief that climate change caused by greenhouse gas emissions must be actively addressed at both the National and local levels. With the encouragement of the Franconia Select Board, the Core Group of the Franconia Energy Team came together through the second half of 2007. The current Core Group (it has turned over some in those months) is Cheryl Bertolini, Jack Cook, Jim McLaughlin, Chuck Phillips, Carleen Quinn, Theresa Spear, and Bob Tortorice.
