Laura Richardson
Energy Efficiency:
Saving the World and Your Wallet, One Watt at a Time
Laura Richardson, co-founder and past-president of the NH Sustainable
Energy Association, lives off the grid in a solar-powered, low-energy
home in the White Mountains.
Her off-grid lifestyle requires a very small energy budget, and
in this Discovery she'll share some of the tips she has learned,
as well as show how energy consumption, energy generation, and bigger
world-view energy issues are all connected. As the saying goes:
the cheapest and greenest energy is the energy we never use.

Bruce Bennett
Don't Waste Your Energy
Bruce Bennett, a Project Manager with GDS Associates, specializes
in residential energy efficiency. As a certified rater, he determines
the en-ergy ratings for homes that qualify for the EPA's ENERGY
STAR Homes labeling program. He also consults with people building
new homes, and does energy audits for owners of existing homes.
Discover the energy waste he finds most common, the ones most easily
corrected, and the waste you might least expect. Learn the process
and value of a home energy audit. Once, again: the cheapest and
greenest energy is the energy we never use.
