First Ammonoosuc Regional Energy Fair Discovery Sessions - Presenters Patrick Miller Keynote Address: Climate Change Solutions Patrick Miller, MPH, Research Asso-ciate Professor, School of Health and Human Services, UNH, is a speaker for New Hampshire's Carbon Coalition. Previous to his role at UNH, Patrick was the Executive Director of The Jordan Institute in Concord, where he worked on sustainable development practices, transportation solutions, and land use practices. He is on the Steering Committee for the NH Carbon Challenge. Patrick and his family live in a passive and active solar, EnergyStar-certified home in Campton. Laura Richardson Energy Efficiency: Saving the World and Your Wallet, One Watt at a Time Laura Richardson, co-founder and past-president of the NH Sustainable Energy Association, lives off the grid in a solar-powered, low-energy home in the White Mountains. Her off-grid lifestyle requires a very small energy budget, and in this Discovery she'll share some of the tips she has learned, as well as show how energy consumption, energy generation, and bigger world-view energy issues are all connected. His home, which he de-signed and built, won the 2007 Gold award for the "MOST ENERGY- EFFICIENT DESIGN SOLUTION" in a Residential Construction.
